Success for 7th China Plastic Pipe Conference

At the 7th International China Plastic Pipe Conference in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, Zoran Davidovski, Chair of the PPCA Organising Committee, underscored China’s growing dominance in the plastic pipe industry. He emphasised how technical innovation is reshaping international trade, steering it toward more sustainable, high-value pipe systems. Davidovski also highlighted the significant advancements in plastic pipe technologies since the last conference five years ago.

Chairman Wang Zhanjie of China Plastics Processing Industry Association (CPPIA) commended the event’s 16-year history, noting its pivotal role in fostering international collaboration and driving the global growth of China’s plastic pipe industry.

The conference, a spin-off from the PPXXI event, attracted over 340 delegates from across the globe, representing various sectors such as plastic pipe manufacturing, raw materials, construction, and research. Attendees benefited from 25 presentations covering topics like raw materials, manufacturing, design, installation, and sustainability, with 17 companies showcasing their innovations in the exhibition area.

The event was supported by industry associations such as PE100+, PPI, TEPPFA, and key Chinese companies.

Australasia beckons now

Following the success of the China spin-off conference, momentum is now mounting in Australasia for OZPIPE 2024. Co-hosted by the Plastics Industry Pipe Association (PIPA) of Australia and the PPCA, this event is expected to attract a record attendance at the Sydney InterContinental.

Called Sustainable Infrastructure – The Future is Now, this two day international conference takes place 12 – 13 November, 2024 and will provide a source of technological and business developments from Australasia and from around the world. Cindy Bray, Executive General Manager of PIPA, insists that the conference will be a ¨networking experience like no other.¨ Registration here.
